About this stream

Welcome to African Energy and Mining Monitor, providing news and analysis of the dynamic sub-Saharan African extractive industries sectors in real time using the Factr information management platform. Factr searches dozens of selected online sources, using powerful Boolean filtering tools to deliver the most relevant content to the stream.

The stream generates constantly updated reporting on the sector, and its economic and social and environmentalimpact on host communities, countries and regions. By making information more accessible, AEM hopes to support efforts to make energy and mineral mining a more sustainable contributer to Africa's economic development.
