The present is becoming increasingly complex; shouldn't our futures studies practices and activities reflect the "messiness of life?" The future is not utopian, protopian or dystopian; it is a messy mix of all possibilities. Futures Literacies need to be flexible and adaptive to navigate that reality. Maybe it's time to leave behind the tools that created this 'present' and open dialogues about the future of future studies.
