Drew Comes to Factr

I was a little late getting here because I didn't quite understand how to create an account. Apparently the idea was to install the phone app, use that to create an account, and then use the web interface (if one chooses) to access the account. Anyway that's what I've done, as of today. I realize the paint is still wet and lots of things aren't quite what they should be. For instance the app kept stopping on my Android phone when I tried to go to my (empty) Inbox. And while the Factr team kindly provided a link, unasked, to the Chrome browser extension, I had to ask Chris for the link to the Firefox version -- which he very promptly supplied. In case others are searching for it, here it is: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/factr_extension/?src=search

So I was a Facebook refugee looking for a new home when I got word through Kickstarter that these guys were starting a new social media site, to be called Factr, which would not engage in the industrial espionage or manipulation for which Facebook is now so well known. I make a contribution to the cause and am finally here some months later, checking it out.
